Nursing Live
The Royal College of Nursing’s inaugural Nursing Live event took place at Exhibition Centre Liverpool in November 2023. The two day expo was the first of its kind in the UK nursing sector.
Thousands of nursing and healthcare professionals came together for the event which showcased the very latest developments in nursing practice and social care.
Over 100 individual talks and masterclasses took place over the two days with nurses’ wellbeing being a core theme. Presentations, discussion panels, clinical demonstrations and CPD sessions explored topics such as safeguarding, innovation, leadership, and medicine management.
There were also special zones focused on careers and learning, digital health, advanced medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. Delegates were also able to access a wide range of personal well-being resources combining professional and personal development elements, and there were dedicated areas for leisure activities, music and food.
Katherina Breen, RCN’s Head of Commercial, said: “The success of this first Nursing Live, both in terms of the value it has added to the nursing community and its impressive commercial performance, has seen us already commit to hosting it in Liverpool again next year.”
Colm Graham, Exhibition Centre Liverpool’s Head of Partnerships, Hospitality & Exhibition Sales, said: “We were delighted to welcome the RCN to Exhibition Centre Liverpool for their first ever Nursing Live event. While we’ve hosted many healthcare events on our campus over the years, this is the first time we have held a nursing exhibition on this scale in our exhibition centre and we are looking forward to welcoming them back next year. We work closely with all our clients to provide an event space that is flexible enough to host dynamic events such as this, allowing invaluable peer to peer collaboration on a national scale.”
