Exhibition Centre Liverpool has scooped a coveted industry award.
The venue was once again named Best Venue Under 8,000 sq m at the EN Awards, hosted by magazine Exhibition News.
The ceremony, held at Battersea Evolution, London, celebrates the best venues, destinations and suppliers in the exhibition industry, as voted for by meeting professionals.
Faye Dyer, managing director of The ACC Liverpool Group, operator of Exhibition Centre Liverpool as well as ACC Liverpool and the M&S Bank Arena, said: “We are honoured to have won this award in 2021 and again in 2022, particularly following such an unprecedented and challenging time faced by our industry.
“In 2019 we experienced our must successful calendar year to date in the exhibition centre both in terms of financial growth and the variety of our event calendar with fantastic exhibitions such as Digital Manufacturing Week, For the Love of Wrestling and the Gin to my Tonic Show – also an EN winner.
“During the pandemic and thanks to the versatility of our venue and our fantastic team, we were able to transform the exhibition centre into a ground-breaking mass covid testing site alongside a PPE and food distribution warehouse, to support the city’s pandemic response.
“Since the easing of restrictions, we have hosted a range of successful exhibitions and it has been incredible to welcome visitors back to shows such as the Outdoor Trade Show. This award will provide a huge boost to our team as we continue to focus on the recovery of our organisation and look ahead to welcoming thousands of visitors to more brilliant events such as Liverpool Indoor Funfair, FIT XPO, the North West Wedding Show and Liverpool Comic Con.”
